Zia ur Rehman Barq’s public career is rooted in deep structural governance, minority rights advocacy, and continuous political dominance across the Sambhal belt of western Uttar Pradesh. Born on 10 April 1974 in Sambhal, he is the grandson of the revered veteran statesman and multi-term iconic parliamentarian the late Shafiqur Rahman Barq. Zia completed his graduation and entered active public service under his grandfather’s mentorship, building a robust grassroots village-level network. Winning his state legislative debut, he served with distinction inside the Uttar Pradesh Assembly, establishing a reputation as a vocal, sharp defender of agrarian and minority rights. Following the passing of his grandfather, the party command placed their trust in his local leadership for the 2024 general elections, resulting in a landslide victory. In the Lok Sabha, his focus centers on fast-tracking digital scholarship delivery cells, establishing direct credit links for local cottage artisans, and securing central water resources.
