Sajda Ahmed’s public career represents a dedicated focus on the socio-economic empowerment of rural communities and minority women across the Howrah district. Born on 22 June 1962 in Kolkata, she completed her graduation from the University of Calcutta. Following the untimely passing of her husband, veteran leader and former Union Minister Sultan Ahmed, she took on his legacy of community service, winning the 2018 Uluberia by-election with a massive mandate.
